Dimitri Diakopoulos is a pioneering figure at the intersection of musical robotics, networked performance, and human-computer interaction. His research fundamentally reimagines how humans and machines collaborate in live musical settings, most notably through his central role in developing the Machine Orchestra—an innovative ensemble that seamlessly blends human laptop performers with robotic musical instruments.
