Daisuke Fujimoto is a pioneering surgical oncologist whose work is reshaping the landscape of minimally invasive cancer surgery. His primary research focuses on the application of robotic platforms for complex gastrointestinal and peritoneal malignancies, with a particular emphasis on enhancing surgical precision and oncologic outcomes. Fujimoto’s most notable contribution is his landmark 2023 study on indocyanine green (ICG) tracer-guided radical robotic distal gastrectomy using the Firefly™ system.
