About
Chih-Feng Yen is a pioneering gynecological surgeon whose work has significantly advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques for women's reproductive health. His research is primarily focused on robotic and laparoscopic surgery, with particular emphasis on hysterectomy, endometrial cancer staging, and myomectomy procedures. Yen's most celebrated contribution is his groundbreaking work on robot-assisted natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) for hysterectomy, published in 2015 and accumulating 47 citations — a study that demonstrated the feasibility of an innovative approach that minimizes external incisions and patient trauma. This work represented a meaningful leap forward in scarless gynecological surgery.
