C. J. Moerman is a leading researcher in human-robot interaction, with a focused expertise on using social robotics to improve pediatric healthcare. Her primary research area investigates how socially assistive robots (SARs) can mitigate the psychological stress of hospitalization for children. Moerman’s major contribution is establishing an evidence base for this emerging field.
