Abstract
Leiomyomas are rare benign tumors of the esophagus that account for about 4% of all esophageal tumors. Recently, the great improvements in minimally invasive techniques have made the resection of mediastinal and pulmonary neoplasms more feasible through video-assisted thoracoscopic or robotic surgery. Our video tutorial describes our approach for a right-sided 3-port thoracoscopic resection of an upper esophageal leiomyoma.
