Abstract
Several applications of surgical robots have sought to replicate the function of the stereotactic frame in cranial neurosurgery [1,2]. The neurobot project is a medium-term attempt to extend this concept incrementally by providing successive enhancements to a manipulator and control system up to the level of a fully active robot capable of minimally- invasive cranial neurosurgery[3].
