Abstract
The work consists of a preface, introduction, five sections and conclusion. It sets out the tasks of structural analysis and synthesis of machines, mechanisms and building structures. A brief analysis of the work of scientists who have made a significant contribution to the creation and development of the theory of the structure of machines, mechanisms and building structures is given. The basic terminology is given, the basic concepts and definitions are given. The most common in practice machines, mechanisms and building structures are considered. The spaces in which these objects exist are investigated. Universal formulas for the determination of mobility and static definability of mechanisms and structures are obtained.
