Abstract
Novel immobilization and registration devices for image-guided therapy for the cranium as well as for the soft tissue are presented. In addition novel registration algorithms for accurate fusion of multimodal CT-MR-SPECT-PET and ultrasound datasets will be shown. Three targeting devices and the latest prototype of the SENSIOM 6-arm robot (Medical Intelligence Inc., Schwabmnchen, Germany) in combination with our novel immobilization and registration devices allow for accurate biopsy and local tumor therapy in the whole body. They enable the user to quickly and safely guide an instrument along a desired trajectory to the target. In addition we introduce our novel method of image-guided template production for dental implants.
