Abstract
We have developed Intelligent Motor Modules System which can be applied to Service robot, Home automation, Mobility or various prototypes and products. The system consists of multiple motor modules and several components such as frames. Motor module is integrated with motor, microcontroller, radio frequency (RF) module, battery and rotary encoder. Motor modules connect with each other or other computers using short-range wireless communication such as Bluetooth Low Energy and perform intelligent motion control synchronously. As they are also able to connect to the Internet directly or by way of other devices, they can be controlled and sensed remotely as Internet of Things. We have developed a telepresence robot with the system as an example, which was able to be operated in real time over the Internet.
