Abstract
This paper presents the evaluation result of a shielding technique applied to a docent robot system which uses wireless power transfer (WPT) technology to charge its embedded battery. In this study, several shielding techniques were investigated such as passive, active, and reactive shield and the most suitable shielding method for robot system was described. The proposed technique using shield coil which encloses the Tx coil reduced the leakage magnetic field strength by 43 % comparing with when the shield is not applied.
