Analysis of robot roller hemming process using FEA

Abstract

This paper introduces the robot roller hemming process,and describes the composition of robot roller hemming system and several common types of robot roller hemming.Based on the finite element analysis(FEA) software,the stress analysis of bending deformation of plates is made while different wheel diameters are adopted.The conclusion is drawn that the performance of large diameter wheel is better,which can be a good reference to the practical application.
