Progress and prospect of robotic surgery

Abstract

Surgical robot not only has the features of minimal invasiveness,but also reveals unprecedented technical dominance to other methods.It upgrades the precision and feasibility of surgery to a totally new standard.Surgical robot has been widely applied in cardiothoracic,urologic,gynaecological and abdominal surgeries abroad.Favorable clinical results have been reported.Few medical units in our country have also purchased and applied it in recent years.This review aims to summarize the technical features and current progress of robotic surgery,analyze existing problems and prospect the future.
