Abstract

The author presents a model for robotic perception. Within the framework of this model, he developed a system which utilizes passive vision and active touch for the task of object categorization. The design of the system is based on psychological theories of human perception, and its implementation on techniques from artificial intelligence.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
