Abstract
Cracks in railway tracks can be a serious safety concern for Indian Railways, which has one of the largest railway networks in the world. Cracks can develop in railway tracks due to seasonal changes, which cause the tracks to contract and expand.Ourrailbot presents a railway track crack detection system utilizing Raspberry Pi and Arduino Uno for efficient monitoring of track integrity. The increasing frequency of railway accidents underscores the need for reliable detection methods to identify cracks and defects in railway infrastructure. Our system employs an array of sensors, including ultrasonic and IR sensors, connected to the Arduino Uno for realtime data collection. The Raspberry Pi processes this data, implementing machine learning algorithms to analyze patterns and detect anomalies indicative of potential cracks. The system is designed to provide immediate alerts, allowing for timely maintenance and reducing the risk of accidents. This innovative solution aims to enhance railway safety and operational efficiency, ensuring a more reliable transportation network.
