Abstract

This work presents an educational project developed within the organization of the robotics contest Eurobot Spain. The aim is promoting interest in STEM areas in young people through participation in this contest. The educational project consists of two stages. First, a training course for pre-university teachers and student team leaders and, second, a phase of support and monitoring in the development of the robot to compete in Eurobot Jr. Spain. This article describes the course that focuses on the basic technology for the robot development that can be tested and applied in a robot platform designed for the course. In addition, several methodologies are explained to provide teachers with strategies to integrate the development of the robot for a competition within the curriculum. The results of the surveys by the participants show the high degree of satisfaction with the course.
