Abstract
Child-robot interaction in education has had a positive impact on facilitating learning and improving educational performance, certainly with various forms of user interfaces and the role of robots. However, along with the development of various user interface models on child-robot interaction in education, it is necessary to pay attention to their designation, so that interactions can run well and interaction failures can be minimized. This paper briefly reviews the various forms of user interface used in Child-Robot Interaction in education, based on research that has been carried out in the last six years. In addition, this paper also tries to see trends in the use of user interfaces for various robot roles and discusses the challenges of user interface model design on child-robot interaction in education. Based on the analysis, it is found that the trend of touchscreen-based user interface becoming the most widely implemented media interface in child and robot interaction. Especially in the robot tutor role. However, there are still challenges in developing a user interface model in order there is no interaction failure between children and the robot. A detailed review is presented in this paper. Therefore, it can provide guidelines for researchers in determining user interface models on the topic of child-robot interaction research in education.
