Abstract

The work is about the actual problem of developing a prototype of a home cleaning robot with improved quality of cleaning. Consumer research conducted in this work reflects the demand for improving the design of cleaning robots and increasing the quality of automatic cleaning along walls and in corners. As a result of this work, the prototype of the home cleaning robot was created and tested with the help of the equipment of the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS” department. The design of the prototype included a new mechanism for replacing wipes for the wet cleaning system and an improved air duct for the dry-cleaning system. Based on the results of the prototype tests conducted, it was determined that the improved dry cleaning duct system handles cleaning in corners and along walls much better than existing similar home cleaning robots. And the new wipe changing mechanism for wet cleaning has significant instability in operation, so this mechanism needs to be improved in the future to improve its reliability. Based on the results obtained in the developed prototype, it's possible to develop a more efficient cleaning robot in the future in order to launch it into mass production.
