Abstract

This paper summarizes the paper and poster contributions\nto the Third International Workshop on\nEpigenetic Robotics. The focus of this workshop is\non the cross-disciplinary interaction of developmental\npsychology and robotics. Namely, the general\ngoal in this area is to create robotic models of the\npsychological development of various behaviors. The\nterm "epigenetic" is used in much the same sense as\nthe term "developmental" and while we could call\nour topic "developmental robotics", developmental\nrobotics can be seen as having a broader interdisciplinary\nemphasis. Our focus in this workshop is\non the interaction of developmental psychology and\nrobotics and we use the phrase "epigenetic robotics"\nto capture this focus.
