Automatic Cafe Management System Using Waiter Robot

Abstract

Advancement in robotic technology has empowered the leeway of robotics from traditional and industrial robotic applications. In recent decades the interest in robotic technology increased in the social, industrial and medical side. In most cafe systems there is a big problem of waiter cleanness and also waiter's monthly salary. In this paper the concept of very low cost automatic café management system using waiter robot is presented in which it has two parts. One is the automatic ordering system in which the customer can place the order using electronic menu system and can verify via LCD display. Once the customer confirms the order. The order wirelessly transferred to the kitchen via wireless module and display on LCD which is placed in the kitchen. The cook prepares the order. Once the order gets prepared the kitchen person call the robot wirelessly to serve the food on the respective table. The robot waiter serves the order automatically and returns to its original position.
