Abstract
Objective Robot was used in frameless stereotactic neurosurgery, instead of the traditional frame. Method The target was showed with CT or MRI scans and the 3-D coordinate was decided with computer. The intellectual mechanical arm of robot gave operators the navigation and the platform. Result 80 frameless operations were successfully performed without complications. The effective rate was 92.5%. Conclusion Compared with the traditional stereotactic operations, this method could release the patients' pain, enlarge the indications, convenience the operators and increase the safety of operation.
