Abstract
In this paper, we propose a computational model of personality (called personality model) for the purpose of implementing non-intellectual functions of the human mind on computer systems. The personality model will be formulated based on psychoanalysis, assuming that the defensive mechanism plays an essential role in a personality. Inductive probability will be employed for modeling the defense mechanism. The personality model is useful for the expression of feelings, and will be used in virtual reality, computer game characters, agent secretaries, and robotics.
