Abstract

One of the factors, to affect power generation efficiency of wind turbines, is dust accumulation, resulting in roughness of the blade surface and resulting in power loss. In this paper, we have devised automated cleaning peripheries to clean wind turbine blade. A robot consisting of the concept of suspension wheel system - used for movement of vehicles (like Mars Rover) on terrestrial planets. The peripheries are connected with localized network that shares significant data like wind speed, blade speed, pace of cleaning robot, brush rotation speed and dust deposition, from the start of process of cleaning.
