Abstract

The integration of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming industries, enhancing efficiency, safety, and productivity. This chapter explores the impact of autonomous systems across various sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, and agriculture. The convergence of robotics and AI enables adaptive systems to perform complex tasks independently, driving innovation and reshaping business operations. Machine learning, computer vision, and sensor fusion empower robots to learn from data, recognize patterns, and interact with humans. Successful applications include self-driving cars, robotic-assisted surgery, precision farming, and smart home devices. However, challenges persist, such as reliability, safety, ethics, data privacy, and complexity of implementation. As autonomous systems continue to evolve, they will drive sustainable practices, optimize resource use, and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. Future research should focus on developing robust algorithms, enhancing safety protocols, and establishing ethical guidelines.
