Abstract
Every year, the technology improvements and changing customer expectations are changing the face of e-commerce from one year to another. The following essay discusses three major new technologies: robots, virtual reality (VR), and green automation systems that are likely to change the industry. In the field of e-commerce, robotics has found an increasing application in order to facilitate the effective and efficient management of products and fulfillment of orders with ease, minimal time, and zero mistakes. On the other hand, Virtual Reality is set to change the way people shop, to make it possible for users to interact in 3D with products and, in short, to make purchasing even more immersive and fun. Last will be the green automation systems that find their way into the e-commerce ecosystem. They help make processes more sustainable by reducing waste and making the best use of energy. This paper will examine how such technologies are used, how they can affect e-commerce, and the problems that need to be corrected first before the full help of such technologies can be realized. This paper looks at every nook and cranny in trying to investigate the future of e-commerce and how critically important the sector is for new ideas that are increasingly customer-oriented and ecologically sustainable.
