Abstract
This report is written as closure for my Bachelor End Project for my study Mechanical Engineering at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. The reserved time for this project is 252 hours which is equal to 9 ECTS. I have worked on this project from September 2012 until January 2013.\nMy Bachelor End Project is done for Tech United as part of the 5K Turtle project. This project aims to reduce the cost of the RoboCup MSL league robot from Tech United, named ‘Turtle’, to 5000 euro. The project is done in cooperation with three companies; ‘ACE’, ‘Frencken Mechatronics’ and ‘VEDS’. My Bachelor End Project focuses on the Ball handling of the Turtle. A part of the project is done in cooperation with Tom Schoenmakers who also worked on the 5K Turtle project for his Bachelor End Project. I would like to thank Tom Schoenmakers for his input and partnership.\nFor this project I got a lot of input from Tech United and the EPC so I would like to offer them my gratitude. I would also like to thank the 3 companies, ‘ACE’, ‘Frencken’ and ‘VEDS’ for their input as well. Special thanks go to Piet Steeghs, who helped both Tom and me a lot with cost reduction and mechanical designing. I would like to mention Peter Teurlings and thank him for his part in the project. Finally I would like to thank Jordan Bos, Frank Steeghs and Heico Sandee for their coaching.
