Abstract

Recently, utilizing wireless communication becomes essential for manufacturing because improving productivity and factory automation with Internet of Things (IoT) and robots become important in order to alleviate shortage of human resources. When many wireless apparatuses are introduced without elaborate configuration of wireless network, communication performance is degraded due to interference resulting in low productivity. To mitigate this problem, we are developing Smart Resource Flow (SRF) wireless platform which adaptively coordinates wireless resources for each traffic. In this paper, we propose Automatic Channel Switching Control (ACSC) and Adaptive Data Flow Control (ADFC) as functions of SRF wireless platform. Performance evaluations in actual environment show that ACSC increases throughput and decreases Round Trip Time (RTT), and ADFC decreases Medium Access Control (MAC) frame retransmission ratio.
