Abstract

The fundamental challenge many engineers have to overcome in robotic world is how to control robot facing real conditions. This paper presents some robotic mobile applications. Mobile robot uses the metric approach to detect obstacles and to build environmental map using the data from an ultrasonic sensor. To validate the proposed approach an experiment is conducted in an internal environment with the mobile robot Dr Robot i90. The PC applications are implemented using Matlab GUI.
