The seal robot named Paro was displayed at the exhibition held at Gyeongju Gymnasium in Gyeongju, Korea from Oct. 2/sup nd/ to 5/sup th/, 2003. 180 visitors evaluated the robot by answering questionnaires. The result showed that the robot was highly evaluated, and were very similar in those of Japan that were obtained in previous study. In addition, important factors such as "favorable impression by contacting," "easiness of talking to Paro" and "favorable impression by appearance" that will become key points in robot evaluation were extracted from the results of the principal component analysis.
