Abstract
For milling of complex work pieces with required accuracies of less than 0.1 mm five-axis machine tools are used in industrial practice. Industrial robots are by far more cost-efficient but they are achieving less machining accuracy due to their elastic resilience. Deviations can be simulated and corrected with a mathematical model, that reproduces static and dynamic interactions of robot and milling process. The challenge: High accuracy can only be achieved, if model parameters are known precisely at any time.
