Abstract

Recently, robots are expected to support human life in such an aging society with declining birthrate. We have been developing service robots using common software platform. Because there are many problems in our community not to be solved yet. We will propose the concept of community service robot network to cope with such social problems, collaborating with many universities, institutes and companies. Here, we have developed a platform robot with a robot technology middleware (RTM) and robot service network protocol (RSNP). So far, photography service, greeting service, and robot questionnaire applications have been developed as basic applications to develop various types of applications in the community. Here, the developed robot system and the results of basic experiments are explained.
