Abstract
Web application technologies for network-based various type of devices that include robots are explored. Web application development of robot services are required to provide integration of robot control and multimedia information that are characterized by dynamic, two-way communication and real-time. In this paper, we design the web application in consideration of these characteristics of robot services. The target of our web application is a robotic telepresence service. We adopt RSNP (Robot Service Network Protocol) as a robot software platform, and adopt HTML5 technology in web application development. In addition, we implement a prototype system, and verify the effectiveness and usefulness of the web application.
