Abstract
In the present automated industrial environment of Industry 5.0, automated manufacturing is moving towards mass customization using collaborative automation of humans and robots. Because there are so many manufacturing technologies in welding that concern various industries, it is important that any new trends be noted for various applications. In addition, relevant research should be analyzed with certain case studies. The objective of this review chapter is to make the reader aware of the current challenges, opportunities, and applications in welding with regard to an automated industrial environment.
