Abstract
With the development of the times and the progress of science and technology, industrial robot technology has been widely used. Various intelligent application systems have put forward higher requirements for network transmission and computing capabilities, while traditional cloud computing technologies have been unable to meet the requirements of massive data storage and computing. According to the characteristics of edge computing, which are centerless, widely distributed, low latency, low power consumption, near source, and distributed, it can better meet the needs of current industrial intelligence. Based on this, an industrial robot is proposed. Edge computing architecture, applying the characteristics of edge computing, analyzing and studying the fusion mechanism and application method of the core technology of industrial robot and the key technology of edge computing, and combining the characteristics of industrial robot controllers, designing and applying edge computing architecture to improve the practical applications of industrial robots which will accelerate the large-scale use of robots in the industrial field and improve the level of industrial intelligence. By using case analysis and comparison method, the application of key technologies for industrial robots' edge computing is analyzed.
