Abstract
Organizations continuously optimize their processes to improve measures such as efficiency, effectiveness, or customer satisfaction. Today, many organizations consider using robotic process automation as a means to deliver result quicker – or to deliver process optimization on steroids. This article describes results from an in-depth case study which was enriched through discussions with decision makers from other organizations using RPA. The lessons learned from the research can be applied by both business and IT decision makers during start and scale-up of a structured process optimization program.
