Abstract
Robotics, AI, and the IOT is an expeditiously growing field of technology with the potential to considerable impact defense systems. As such, the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and some defense organizations in other nations are focusing on developing various applications for a range of military functions. Research is ongoing in areas such as intelligence collection, analysis, logistics and transportation, cyber operations, target recognition, command and control, and autonomous and semiautonomous vehicles. AI is used to make intelligent machines that perform intellectual tasks based on experiences. Military autonomous robots are increasingly being designed for military applications with sensors, which can be deployed in all domains and allow acquiring full situational awareness and monitoring in diverse conflict-affected areas or battle zones. A combination of these technologies have the perceptual knowledge to manage and process information and the ability to build a machine that emulates human behavior.
