Abstract
Defect high value components with a long life-time such as turbine blades and vanes are usually not disposed but rather repaired. Due to the lot size of 1, most of the work is done manually. With the aim of (semi-) automating the repair processes an adaptive grinding process for re- contouring of turbine blades has been developed. Industrial robots are used to provide a flexible machine system for all necessary repair process steps.
