Abstract
Epidaure is the name of a research project launched in 1989 at INRIA Rocquencourt, close to Paris, France. The research directions of the project were progressively defined around the following topics: volumetric image segmentation, three-dimensional (3-D) shape modeling, image registration, motion analysis, morphometry, and surgery simulation. The author describes and illustrates some of the contributions of the Epidaure team on these different topics.
