Abstract

This is an introduction to current methods of instrumental analysis and a reference for the future. Changes have been made to this 7th edition, including coverage of such topics as chemometrics, robotics, laboratory information management systems and the role of instrumentation in the overall analytical method. There is expanded treatment of graphite furnace AA, ICP and DCP, Fourier transform instruments, hyphenated methods, ion chromatography and photoacoustic spectroscopy. An illustrated discussion of the role of the computer in current instrumentation and laboratories is included.
