DepthScan

Overview

The DepthScan is a 3D inspection system for machine vision in robotics. It mounts on a robot arm for part inspection and guidance in painting, sanding, welding, etc. It collects full 3D models from a distance, captures higher resolution point clouds up close, and stitches them into a single high resolution model. Reprojection highlights deviations from design. It can synchronize with turntables for multi-angle scanning of complex parts, enabling automatic identification of out-of-spec parts and early detection of manufacturing problems.
