摘要

Change is constant, especially in Computer Science. The discipline continues to reinvent itself every 5-7 years. As Computer Science educators, it is in our best interest to look ahead and see how we can modify our curriculum and prepare our students for these changes. Emerging areas today include computer and network security, information assurance, robotics, bioinformatics, animation, game programming, web application development, embedded computing, wireless computing, and grid computing to name just a few. In light of traditional Computer Science jobs being outsourced, incorporating these topics into the curriculum may provide the edge needed for our graduates to be employable.
