摘要

The construction sector's diverse use of automation and its advantages and consequences of using it at different phases of the construction processes is highlighted. The benefits of prefabricated buildings in terms of reusability, environmental friendliness, and flexibility to various project-based objectives are the focal points in the text. It also features the ground-breaking "PERI AutoPilot" system, which automates concrete formwork operations using artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic technology to improve productivity, accuracy, and safety. It is highlighted how technology, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and AI-driven algorithms, optimize resource utilization, communication, and decision-making, leading to improved project results, while discussing the role of automation in planning and scheduling. It also discusses how automation affects safety and quality assurance. It also focuses on the the value of 3D point cloud data in locating errors, inconsistencies, and potential structural problems and encourages the adoption of higher quality standards. Applications for AI-based solutions include risk minimization, real-time progress tracking, and the automation of quality inspection and safety management. The abstract emphasizes that adopting automation is a strategic need for construction organizations seeking efficiency, competitiveness, and innovation in the constantly changing construction scene rather than just a technological advancement. Overall, automation has had a profound influence on several construction-related elements, signaling its critical position in determining the future of the sector.
