From Genetic Evolution of Simple Organisms to Learning Abilities and Persuasion on Cognitive Characters.

摘要
This paper describes some artificial life projects and evaluates the achievements for different approaches, conceived to study live beings of different complexities. The first scenario is used to analyze genetically evolved artificial microorganisms, observing their adaptive behavior in large societies, or the adaptation strategies used by creatures from simple species, represented here as robots. The second one exploits the learning ability of more evolved artificial creatures, and analyses the consequences of this ability on their behavior. We focus on character evolution possibilities, through instructive learning, in opposition to species evolution from the previous scenario, and consider mid-size groups. The last one focuses on artificial humans with cognitive reasoning capacity, and is used to study the role of convincement on small communities of virtual humans.
