Charging Stations with Open Contact Pads for Maintenance of Aerial Robots

摘要
Ground charging stations for electrical unmanned aerial vehicles (aerial robots) based on open contact pads are considered in the paper. All known technical solutions concerning charging stations of such a type are systematized. A few classification criterions are proposed. The most interesting technical solutions are described. Two original authors' development works are presented. These are the charging station based on arrays of the so-called intelligent contact pads and the charging station based on flat parallel electrodes. Each of these projects has own advantages and disadvantages, but both solutions provide arrangement of charging process even in conditions of inaccurate aerial robot landing, and all the more so, provide charging for a group of aerial robots simultaneously.
