Industry 6.0 is the name given to the revolutionary era brought about by the rapid integration of AI into manufacturing processes. This chapter discusses the new paradigm to find out what all the fuss is about and how revolutionary and advanced it may be. Immersed in the dynamic landscape of modern production, this chapter discusses the symbiotic relationship between AI and manufacturing procedures. A comprehensive overview of current AI applications in manufacturing is available in a presentation; this presentation focuses on how these applications have impacted adaptive manufacturing, predictive maintenance, quality optimisation, and production efficiency. The chapter also looks forward at possible paths, making predictions about when technology innovations like Industry 6.0 may become more commonplace. It takes into account the potential for technological advancements, paradigm changes, and the integration of autonomous systems driven by AI, edge computing, and human-robot interaction. The proper use of AI in production is front and centre, bringing to light the necessity of tackling ethical issues, implementation hurdles, and the socioeconomic implications of this revolutionary era. In order to help stakeholders, legislators, and academics navigate the ever-changing landscape of Industry 6.0, the study aims to provide a comprehensive roadmap. With this road map, we hope to shed light on how to fully use AI in industrial ecosystems to spur innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness. The essay sheds insight on how AI and manufacturing are complementary, showing how the two might collaborate to influence production systems of the future.
