About
Zhigang Li is a leading surgical oncologist whose work has fundamentally advanced the field of minimally invasive esophageal surgery, with a particular focus on robot-assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE) for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Based at Shanghai, Li has built an internationally recognized body of research comparing robotic and conventional thoracoscopic approaches to esophagectomy, consistently demonstrating the clinical advantages of robotic techniques in lymph node dissection, perioperative safety, and long-term oncological outcomes.
