Dr. Yan-You Chen has pioneered the integration of cloud computing with human-robot interaction, particularly for assistive technologies serving aging populations. His landmark 2011 paper, "Human-robot interaction based on cloud computing infrastructure for senior companion," introduced the Senior Companion Robot System (SCRS), a groundbreaking framework that leverages cloud-based services to enable remote management and intelligent interaction for elderly care.
