About
Dr. Warunya Boonjob is a leading figure in the development of automated, miniaturized analytical systems for environmental monitoring. Her research focuses on the hyphenation of advanced sample preparation techniques with separation science, particularly through the innovative use of the lab-on-valve (LOV) platform. Her most impactful contribution, detailed in a highly cited 2009 paper (47 citations), is the pioneering online coupling of bead injection (BI) in LOV to gas chromatography (GC). This work demonstrated the first automated, renewable solid-phase extraction method for trace-level organic pollutants, specifically polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), in complex solid waste leachates.
