About
Dr. Valentina Musacchi is a leading gynecologic surgeon whose research has significantly advanced the field of minimally invasive surgery, particularly through the adoption and refinement of robotic technologies. Her work focuses on optimizing surgical outcomes for complex patient populations, including those with benign gynecologic diseases, endometrial cancer, and transgender individuals. Her most impactful contribution is a seminal 2016 study comparing single-site versus multiport robotic hysterectomy, which has garnered 53 citations for its critical evaluation of surgical outcomes and cost-effectiveness. This work, alongside a highly cited 2015 systematic review and meta-analysis on barbed sutures in minimally invasive hysterectomy (48 citations), has helped establish evidence-based best practices for robotic surgery.
