About
Taihei Fujii is a pioneering head and neck surgeon whose work has centered on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for pharyngeal and laryngeal cancers, with a particular focus on transoral robotic surgery (TORS). His most cited study, a preliminary investigation of TORS using the da Vinci Surgical System for pharyngeal cancer in Japan, has garnered 17 citations and stands as a foundational contribution to the field. In this work, Fujii demonstrated that TORS could improve functional and aesthetic outcomes without compromising survival, offering a compelling alternative to traditional open surgery.
