About

Sie-Kyung Jang is a pioneering researcher in educational robotics, whose work has fundamentally shaped how young children interact with intelligent machines in early childhood settings. Her research focuses on three interconnected areas: the feasibility of robots as language instruction tools, the usability of robotic assistants in kindergartens, and the development of robot content tailored for early education. Jang’s most influential study (51 citations) demonstrated that intelligent robots—equipped with sensors for bidirectional interaction—can effectively enhance linguistic abilities in young children, outperforming traditional multimedia approaches.
